Hello,

What does the RECORDS_USED column in the v$controlfile_record_section refer to?

From Oracle Documentation, it's mentioned that it's "Number of records used in the section".

However, more explanation about this column is much appreciated.

Oracle is investigating this issue, but in parallel is opening the topic to the Community so that Community members can add their perspective, experience or knowledge. This will further enhance all knowledge bases including My Oracle Support and Communities; assisting all Community members and enabling richer solution searches.
