Unable to enter Tax Registration Number in the Customer Standard Page

 I'm not able to enter the Tax Registration Number of a customer in the Customer Standard Page's Profile Tab. It is disabled and therefore im not able to enter anything.

Can anyone please help. Is this a setup issue?
