Two or three home (on separated os user) to install grid infrastructure, rdbms and rac (11g R2) ?
We're configuring a new 11g R2 platform on ORACLE SUN Solaris 10, 64 Bits (Grid Infrastructure + RDBMS + RAC). Two ORACLE SUN M5000 nodes.
In the ORACLE docs (official document), you can read:
"With Oracle Grid Infrastructure 11g release 2 (11.2), Oracle Automatic Storage Management (Oracle ASM) and Oracle Clusterware are installed into a single home directory, which is referred to as the Grid Infrastructure home. Configuration assistants start after the installer interview process that configures Oracle ASM and Oracle Clusterware".
My question is: Is it possible to install ASM in its own (separated) home (ASM_HOME) and with a separated OS user (for example 'asmuser') ?
