Locator derivation during Spares Management Move Orders
hi folks,
we are planning to implement Spares Management Move Orders for some of our business processes. we have certain subinventories that are locator-controlled. we discovered that Spares Move Order functionality automatically derives appropriate Stock Locator - user does not have to populate a Stock Locator value - if a locator-controlled subinventory is either the source or destination (or both) during a particular transaction. upon scouring MOS, there was a tiny little mention of this being a standard functionality in Spares as well as Inventory.
can someone shed some light on how a Stock Locator is derived, particularly when more than one Stock Locator is associated with a subinventory / item? also, how do we make this happen on the Inventory Move Orders UI? so far, on the Spares MO UI seems to display the symptom of this affliction (albeit in a good way).
