Best Practice Question
I posted earlier looking for advice on what to look for in an OEM specialist. I am waiting on approval to move forward with the hiring so I have a couple of basic questions.
I want to limit permissions with OEM to maintain control and eliminate variability. The current staff of Oracle DBAs are telling me they need super user rights in OEM to do their job. I did not rise to my current management level from the ranks of the Oracle platform so I am not as proficient technically as I would like to be.
Should getting targets established for new databases and servers be the responsibility of the team as a whole or the OEM specialist (which I hope to grow into a team ).
