Credit Check at various phases

 In setting up the Transaction Type, I can decide to have Oracle credit check an order in 4 different places: Booking, Picking, Packing and Shipping.

If my order goes on hold at Booking, and the hold is released, will Oracle perform a check anyway at Picking? Or once the hold has been removed, it is removed for good,even for the successive events.  We have witnessed this behaviour.  We are wondering if there is a way (Profile Option or something) to make it check every time at each of the defined phases.
