Workflow Assignment Option

 I am creating workflow to:

1).  Remove existing data from certain books

2).  Add new incoming data to books

Re: Item 1, does this just need to be performed as a "one-shot" single event, or must it be persistent?  Once the data have been removed from Books X, Y, Z, et al, going forward this will not need to be performed again, correct?
