Need to Switch to MultiOrg before Upgrading - ? about LE

Hello,

We are preparing to upgrade to R12 and our 11.5.10.2 instance is Multi Org.  We have a single organization defined, with the Organization Classifications:  Business Group, HR Organization & Inventory Org already enabled

Is it ok to add the GRE/Legal Entity classification to this already defined Organization Name?  What are the pros and cons
