checkpoint not complete

 In the alert log, there is an entry states thread 1 cannot allocate new log, checkpoint not complete. Does this mean that my redo log is somewhat small and it's a hint that I might need to increase the size of my redo log a little bit?  My oracle version 10.2.0.3 on solaris 10. Thanks.
