How to group products together and display them in the Configurator Page?

I have a customer that has a parent product and a few child products. Inside the Configurator page, customer wants to group products as follow:

Group 1                 Group 2                        Group 3
  Tab 1                       Tab 1 group 2         Tab 1 group 3
    Product 1                 Product 6                  Product 8
    Product 2                 Product 7                  Product 9

 Tab 2
   Product 3
   Product 4

 Tab 3
   Product5

Do you know of an OOB template to use that is closer to the customer requirement above?
