Changing Oracle Database Service To Not Use Windows Local Service Account

 Hi All,            i have oracle 11g R2 SE running on Windows server 2003 and i want the archive logs to be saved to a mapped drive, i have read a few notes basically stating that since oracle is run with the local system account it cannot access shared drives, but it can if i change it to run with a user with the necessary privileges, i have read note 457363.1 but seems to not support the platform i am using. Any advice?
