T3 Server Jumpstart Profile with World Wide ID (WWID) Question

edited May 31, 2011 2:44PM in SPARC Legacy servers (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered
T3 server now uses the SAS 2.0 World Wide ID (WWID) in place of the target field in logical device names. Therefore in Jumpstart profile you cannot use the traditional c#t#d#. You must get the WWID by running the probe-scsi-all command at OK prompt and then plug this into the profile. However, each disk has a unique WWID, this causes problems in the Jumpstart process. Therefore, every T3 server will require it's own Jumpstart profile with the unique WWID for each.

Has anyone seen or discovered an automated work-around other than using the "any" keyword in the profile?
