Item Price List load process for items and item/vendor data

I am using PS 9.0 and in PeopleBooks it says that adds and updates to items can be done through a flat file through the EO_FILETOMSG process to the staging tables.  

I am interested in the file layout for this process and any documentation on how to setup and run this process beyond what PeopleBooks has.
