OEM 11g GridCtl out-of-place upgrade fails in OMS Configuration with unable to resolve host.

Hello,

I am trying to perform an out-of-place upgrade of an existing 10g gridctl installation to Grid ctl 11g.  The process is looks like it is close to completing and I am getting the following error near the end of the install in the OMS Configuration.  I can’t seem to get around this. 

From the error message it looks like the error is occurring in the oracle.sysman.omsca.util.CoreOMSConfigAssistantUtil checkHost routine.
 
 The error is:
May 12, 2011 12:42:37 PM oracle.sysman.omsca.framework.OMSGenericAdapter doPreRequisiteChecks
FINE: Unable to resolve EM host
May 12, 2011 12:42:37 PM oracle.sysman.omsca.framework.OMSCAUpgradeInstall execute
SEVERE: ERROR: Pre req checks of EM failed.
