Bonded Interfaces

We have a 2-node RAC cluster built on bare metal blades with FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) for the SAN and network interfaces. We are looking at creating bonded pairs for these interfaces for redundancy at the SAN level (which would also give us redundancy at the network interface level as well). I see this redundancy for the private interconnect is a best practice for Oracle. Is it common today to set up bonded interfaces? We have not done this before and we are curious if most are doing this now with their RAC implementations. Please let me know if you are doing this
