Upgrading DB nodes from Linux to Solaris

A customer is asking this:

Today have Linux as the OS they would like to know if they can change to Solaris. Is that possible ?. Do you need to do a reinstall of the DB server in order to get Solaris as the OS. Any advice on this is appreciated.
