Removing Drive Letters From Windows Shared Disk after Installation

 Hello,

am about to run an Update on Win2003R2 32Bit SE, 2 node RAC Installation 10gR2 Base Release.

Unfortunatelly the previous Installation was done by some one else which is no longer in the company, when I was checking the preinstallation requisits I found that all shared drives used by the Cluster and RAC DB+ASM,,, are having drive letters assigned, the system works for a couple of years without noticing that.

Now I will Install the patsch 10.2.5 and would like to remove the Drive Letters before that.

Is it possible, am I gone lose data or currupt the Data inside if I do so?
