Product eligibility and eSales catalogs

A Siebel administrator wants to hide products that are on the product catalog but which are not eligible on the eSales portal application. If the component parameter EligibilityDisplayMode = 2 on the eSales Object Manager then can product eligibility rules be applied to the products on the eSales catalog. This would be similar to the behaviour in the product pick applet on the order line item list applet where products that are not available from an eligibility rule cannot be added to an order?
