IP Service Activator Release 7.0 Announcement

Oracle is pleased to announce the general availability of Oracle Communications IP Service Activator release 7.0.  This is a major release that introduces significant new functionality, as described below.

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator, a key component in Oracle’s Converged Fulfillment for Business Services solution, enables communications service providers (CSPs) to streamline and automate the delivery of market-differentiating IP and Ethernet connectivity services in a complex, multivendor network.

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator insulates service delivery from ongoing technological changes such as the need to upgrade to IPv6. According to the Number Resource Organization (NRO), the last five free blocks of IPv4 address space were allocated in January 2011, resulting in the free pool of IPv4 address space being depleted.  Raúl Echeberría, Chairman of the NRO said, “The future of the Internet is in IPv6. All Internet stakeholders must now take definitive action to deploy IPv6.” Oracle Communications IP Service Activator Release 7.0 supports CSPs in their evolution from IPv4 to IPv6 services.

Howdy, Stranger!
