Sunray 3+ with 100FX SFP boots to OSD 22B

I am trying to get the Sunray 3+ to work with a 100FX SFP (GLC-GE-100FX-US).  The Sunray completes its boot sequence and stops with an On-Screen Display error of 22B.  SunRay Server is up because I can connect to it using a Sunray 2FS when connected via the integrated fiber port. 

http://wikis.sun.com/display/SunRay/Sun+Ray+3+Plus+Client+Technical+Specifications seems to indicate that the GLC-GE-100FX-US is a validated SFP, but I'm not having any luck getting it to work.
