 Hello All,

I have system ( Linux xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxx 2.6.32-100.0.19.el5 #1 SMP Fri Sep 17 17:51:41 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux) which is setup up as an Oracle Database server attached to a SAN, however my oracle user is having problems using cron (as illustrated below)

crontab -e

< an edit and a :wq! later...>

"/tmp/crontab.XXXXRDadHz" 22L, 700C written
crontab: installing new crontab
chown: Operation not permitted
crontab: edits left in /tmp/crontab.XXXXRDadHz

So I have been tithing to the Great Google and tried everyting available to fix this problem, to no eval...

I have tried file permissions, acces via /etc/cron.allow ...etc... I need some advice please.

Howdy, Stranger!
