How can we change the Organization Resource Valuation Account

The Resource Valuation Account has been set incorrectly for the organization and transactions have occured on them. It is required to change this account however; it is not allowed once transactions were registered on this organization.
A SR has been initiated on the metalink and this is the reply we got:
- Create a new organization with the correct accounts and transfer the items and onhand quantities to that organization
or;
- Customize Accounting Derivation Rules in SLA to post the transactions in GL to the correct accounts.

Then, we reached a note 1144105.1 saying that there is a back end solution which is to update the account in mtl_parameters table upon your own responsibility with the correct CCID.
