Users with multi-period forms receive an error when using calculate/force calculate tools if one or

 Having created a 12 month P&L input form, input users with Review1 role cannot use the calculate/force calculate tools where any of the periods have been promoted to Review2 or higher.  This results in an error message:

"Checking form syntax

Unable to run calculate for [scenario][year][entity][value]"

This is repeated for each period to which the user does not have access, but does not give the period in the error as above. 

It is possible however for the user to right-click in the non-promoted columns and use the calculate options there.

My question is therefore has anyone come across this error before and if so have you got a work around?
