DCD - SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME

Hi everyone,

Strictly regarding Oracle do you know what could explain that, with Oracle 10GR2, we had a lot of ghost sessions (and we were forced to use Dead Connection Detection) and now, with Oracle 11GR1 (since more than 2 years), we have no ghost sessions and not using Dead Connection Detection at all (SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME = 0)?

Was DCD (Dead Connection Detection) improved?
