Looks disk error message when compare test at format is running.

 Hi Experts,

I have two questions about Solaris format - analysis - compare test.

I use X4540 and populate three suspect HDDs in it for test purpose, and run compare test in

format.

Q1. I have experienced following messages in all three drives, does it really mean the disk is faulty ?

  Warning:Drive may be reserved or has been removed, aborting surface analysis.

Q2.I got following message in one HDD out of three, what does it mean ? Could you explain what it is ?

  Warning: unable to pinpoint defective block.

I'm unable to get further info because I have no actual unit here and all three HDDs were already returned to Oracle. I appriciate your help in advance.
