How do I determine the status of my RAID disks?

Disk monitoring can be a difficult task without knowledge of the tools and utilities available. The nature of RAID is to allow the platform to continue operation without an outage or user intervention, so discovering a failed disk on a remote system can be a fine art.

We have developed a guide to assist you in observing RAID status for our most common platform internal controllers and HBA's:
