UPC code in Inventory

Reading Article 364468.1 in Oracle Support acknowledges that in 11i there is no field on the item master in Oracle Inventory for a UPC.  The next sentence states that this issue is currently being addressed in Enhancement Request ER 2106212.  I have tried unsuccessfully to search for ER 2106212.  Looking in 12.1.2 I still don't see a field for the UPC of an item.  What is the status of this enhancement request?
