Need to restrict expenditure types to a particular operating unit

Hi, I am a project consultant and using 12.1.3 version for Project implementation. I have a requirement to restrict some of the expenditure types to a particular operating unit. As I am aware, the expenditure types work instance wise and can be used across multiple operating units. But the requirement here is to restrict the expenditure types to a particular operating unit. Pls advise if any suggestions.
