How to suppress Affected Items Warning on ECO

 We are using Change Requests and Change Orders(ECOs). When we add an item to the affected Items tab of a Change Request it is for reference only so no changes are actually being made. 

I am wondering if there is a way to suppress or stop the warning that pops up on an ECO if it has the same P/N on it's affected Items tab as an active Change Request.

We don't want to completely turn off the ECO warning but only if it is due to  a specific Change Request Subclass.
