Making backup from FRA to TAPE using the bpbackup's command (Veritas Netbackup)

Hi everybody,

I am doing backup of my ORACLE BD (11g R2 - 11.2.0.2.0 on Solaris OS) to FRA (datafile, controlfile, archived log, spfile, etc., etc...). We are using RMAN, in order to do my database backup to FRA.

My question is:

In the case which I could not to do backup my FRA area directly to tape (using RMAN and Veritas Netbackp drive). Could I use the 'bpbackup' command -Veritas Netbackup- in order to send the backups files from disk to tape.

All of my DB and FRA is locating on ASM disks. So, I don't know if I can use the 'bpbackup' command, in order to send the backups file to tape.

Howdy, Stranger!
