Need to remove/delete a business purpose from Customer site

Hi,
Is there any way an erroneous business purpose/site use could be deleted from a customer site (not just disabled)?  We are trying to merge the customer with another, and it is causing problems.  I don't want to recommend creating the bad site use on the clean customer.
