End of Oracle/Solaris Entrylevel Servers?

I was talking to a reseller for Oracle/Sun equipment a few months ago, and they had sort of indicated that Oracle was going to move away from the entrylevel line of servers. Looking at how the product line has been developing and projecting out, it almost looks as if that is going to be true. My customer has a number of V240/245 hardware, V215 hardware, etc. It's been the backbone of a bunch of lower-level services that we run here.

While I'd entertain the idea of moving to Solaris X86, I've also heard that Oracle is considering giving up developing that operating system. This basically leaves me with a choice between moving to perhaps and AIX-based platform, or some Linux-flavored platform.

Howdy, Stranger!
