Upgrading Essbase from 9.3.3 to 11.1.2

We are looking to performing an Essbase upgrade from 9.3.3 to 11.1.2 and am trying to understand the expected effort to do that in addition to any lessons learned i.e. any loss of functionality. Applications include both BSO and ASO cubes. Key Essbase suite components that we will be looking to upgrade are:

Essbase server, EAS, EIS, Shared Services, Essbase spreadsheet add-in
