Preparing migration of Solaris 10 into Solaris 11 Express zones - clarifications

Hello,
Could you, please, clarify System Administration Guide - part III - chapters 28 (P2V) and 29 (V2V) regarding prerequisites of Solaris 10 migration into a Solaris 11 Express solaris10 zone?

I understood that just before migrating a Solaris 10 u9 GZ (P2V), I must always apply patch 119254-75 ( SPARC ) / 119255-75 ( x86/x64 ).
If going to migrate a Solaris 10 u8 or before, I must also apply kernel patch 141444-09 ( SPARC ) / 141445-09 ( x86/x64 ).

But what about migrating just the NGZs (not the GZ)?
Are those patches necessary as well?
If so, for the 1st patch I've mentioned, must it be applied to the NGZ or to the GZ?
