Oracle Lob performance issue

 Hi,        Iam on 11.2.0.2  database version.We have changed the data type in a table from varchar2 to LOB.  We are storing LOB data we have enabled STORAGE IN ROW. The performance of the process degraded a lot. The process is used to take 4 hours and now it is taking 13.5 hours. There is no change in data or server configuration. The table has  24 million rows.
