Planned Start Date of Make To Order Batch

 When I create a sales order with a request date of 24th June and run the Process Manufacturing Make to Order Concurrent Request, the batch is created with a planned completion date of 24th June and a Planned Start Date of 10th June (order entry date). This indicates that the batch will take 14 days when in reality the routing would suggest that it will take 6 hours to manufacture. Is this the standard functionality or am I missing some setup. If I manually create the batch the planned duration is 6 hours.
