Updating Item Attributes Controls for Costing Attributes

Hi folks,
Kindly repatriate to the correct community, if this discussion has been posted in an incorrect one.

In our 12.1.2 environment, we currently have Item Attributes Controls for Costing Attributes (such as Inventory Asset and Costing Enabled) set to ORG level. We have one Master Inventory Org (MIO), where Item Costs have been defined.

We are deploying EBS into several countries in the world, where our organization operates, one country at a time. When we create a new Inventory Org for a country being deployed, the Costing Organization in the Inventory Organization Parameters section defaults to that Inventory Org currently being defined. There are some countries where the Item Costs are same as the MIO. But, we are unable to select the MIO in the Costing Organization field. We found out that the reason behind that is that the Costing Attributes are controlled at ORG level, which precludes using MIO as the Costing Organization.

Howdy, Stranger!
