WIP Job creation - Usage of Substitute Components

Hi All,

I have a requirement to use substitute component in a Standard Discrete Job. I cannot find an option to replace the component. Am I missing any setup for the same.

I did metalink and forum search on this but could not find a proper note which explains how substitute components can be used in production shop floor.

Why this issue had not been addressed by Oracle till now? What are the work arounds we can think of?

Any whitepaper/metalink note ids on using substitute components kindly share the details. Thanks in advance.
