Upgrade to A9.2.1 Turn off Journaling

Does anyone know why it is recommended to turn off journaling for the upgrade?  Our IT group has been looking into this and do not see any reason why it would need to be turned off.  Any ideas?  Has anyone not turned off journalling during an upgrade?
