Project In Release rule

 Hi,

Can anybody please tell me what is the meaning of the project field in Release Rule?I have this pick release rule where project number is mentioned and whenever I try to pick release any item from the mentioned sub inventory using this release rule it always becomes released to warehouse instead of picked. If I use any other release rule that doesn't have this project field filled it gets released to Picked. So was wondering if it has anything to do with the project field.
