Unable to create PO using items

Hi,

I have entered the values under system items flexfield. While creation of PO using same items below error message was getting

 At least one or more item attributes failed validation.

Action: Verify values for the following attributes: purchasing_enabled_flag, stock_enabled_flag, outside_operation_flag and bom_item_type.

What are the prerequisites needs to be check
