Can you help me use SLA for FA in R12 to derive a segment value for a non-qualifier segment?

We have to derive a value for Location for all Asset Transactions including transactions to FA Balance Sheet Accounts.  I know you can use SLA for FA to do this but I am having difficulty getting it to work.  Please give me a call if you have any experience doing this.  The Location is one of the segments in the AFF.
