Combined Reports - How to display one record?

Hello,

I am a new user and need some help with combined reports.

I am trying to combine a custom object with the account team information.  However, my results are not truly combined.  I get a row of data from the account team object and another row from the custom object.  Is there a way to combine the results into one record?  I am using 'Union' to join and 'Account Name' is the only common data element between the two objects.

Any insight or help will be greatly appreciated!
