How do I recover a "corrupt" Service Processor?
There are several ways to recover from firmware corruption issues on the Service
Processor.
Broadly which recovery procedure would be employed would depend on whether
there is a BIOS or SP failure or both. The recover procedures are documented
in Service Manual for the product (Eg: Sun Fire X4150, X4270 etc).
It is always advisable to try to recover the Service Processor from by upgrading
the firmware through' the ILOM Web GUI.
However, since that is not always possible, depending on the type of failure, one of
the following methods might be employed to recover the Service Processor.
On systems that have a tools and driver image (T&D), there is a directory
