RMAN Backup Error

Dear Experts,

We are facing an oracle error during the backup process. The following lines were copied from the log file :

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================

RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS ===============

RMAN-00571: ===========================================================

RMAN-03002: failure of shutdown command at 06/24/2011 01:13:44

ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation

No local user was working at the time the error occurs
