Issues with Installation of 11gR2 - Failing all Prerequistes

I am installing 11GR2 on HPUX IA64 using the OUI gui , and when it reaches the performing of the prerequisite checks it shows failed for all . Most of the failure details shows the PRVF-7531 error , with the solution being to ensure the oracle account has permissions to run the execute the /usr/sbin/swlist command - which it does.  My system administrator really wants me to hit the ignore all checkbox , but I won't because I fear this will cause me problems later on down the line. I have searched for solutions on My Oracle Support and in various sites online.
