TCP/IP connections being killed ?

edited Jul 27, 2011 4:46AM in Database Networking (MOSC) 4 commentsAnswered
One of our customers reported that his database connection between our client application and the server (9i) got disconnected by some means he hadn't found out yet.
We suspect that some firewall or intrusion prevention mechanism kill connections considered to be idle.

Is there a tool one can use to detect presence of such a connection killer? Windows Server 2008 64 bit is the server, Windows XP SP3 the client.
