Obsolete items in manufacturing

Could you confirm me that  the 'O'bsolete stocking type (STKT) is not blocking in manufacturing (neither for manufactured item during work order entry nor as component during work order generation / Part list) ?

How could you justify that outcome functionaly ? Do I have to open a service request for further enhancement ?
