ufsdump blocksize for a LTO3

Hi All

I apologise if I have created this in the wrong forum.

I recently attached our LTO3 tape drive to an Ultra-320 SCSI to try and gain some performance increase.  I found this hasnt done much on its own and think my bottleneck is the disk transfer.

Aside from this, while trying to increase our ufsdump blocksize to 1024, I got this error message:

DUMP: Block size must be a positive, even integer <= 512

I wasn't expecting this because I have seen other discussions on the internet of blocksize 4096 for LTO3 so assumed there was not a 512 limit.  I'm also unable to find any other discussions about this limit so thought maybe I was doing something wrong.  We are using Solaris 10, so I guess maybe others were not using this OS.

Howdy, Stranger!
