How do I upgrade ILOM firmware using SNMP?

edited Jul 6, 2011 4:25PM in Sun x86 Systems (MOSC)
SNMP is a powerful framework for monitoring and managing enterprise class systems.  Many organizations deploy deploy SNMP, SNMP application
managers to monitor and manage systems from different vendors.

The Oracle ILOM on x64 systems provides customers the ability to view
and configure ILOM settings using SNMP.  In addition to the ILOM Web
GUI and CLI, the ILOM firmware may also be upgraded using SNMP.

SNMP must be first configured before it can be used for such things as
viewing/configuring ILOM settings, upgrading firmware.

Please refer to

Configuring SNMP Settings in Oracle ILOM

for instructions on configuring SNMP on the ILOM.

Howdy, Stranger!
